Apparently, as IMDb announced on their website, Kylie will be part of the movie “The Rugrats” live-action with the role of Angelica Pickles.
Exciting news, right? This is not 100% confirmed yet as there is not too much information on the internet, but hopefully, someone will say something soon!
Rugrats was an animated children’s television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The show focused on a group of babies most prominently—Tommy, Chuckie, twins Phil and Lil, and Angelica—and their day-to-day lives, usually involving life experiences that become much greater adventures in the imaginations of the main characters.
The series was a huge success worldwide, and therefore, in these boom years of live-action, Nickelodeon had announced for years the intention to create a revival of the live play. Well, now comes the official confirmation: the live-action will be there.
Now “The Rugrats” will take the form of a movie, which will be distributed by Paramount and is currently slated for 2021, initially announced for January, but has now been postponed to date. The director of the play will be David Bowers, already confirmed for about a year, while only very interesting names have been revealed about the cast: the singers Christina Aguilera and Kelly Rowland as Charlotte Prickles and Alyssa Carmichael, and the actresses Marsai Martin and Tisha Campbell-Martin as Susie Carmichael and Lucy Carmichael respectively.
